Cao Cao

Cao Cao's looks are not that different from his appearance in Dynasty Warriors. However, he is different in the way that he rules. He employs many talented people, and they are the key to his success. Of course, his motto is "Don't question the employed, and don't employ the questionable," Initially, he has Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan as well as Li Dian. Second genius Xun Yu joins Cao Cao early on, and many of the peasants from the Yellow Turban Rebellion join his army. After Dong Zhuo dies, third genius Guo Jia joins, and at Xiapi, even fourth genius Jia Xu helps Cao Cao. Xu Chu, Dian Wei, and Xu Huang become Cao Cao's best warriors, so Cao Cao is covered both in advisers and in generals.

Of course, this does not mean that Cao Cao is able to win every battle. There are times that Cao Cao makes mistakes and loses. At Xuzhou, for example, Cao Cao is at the height of his power, but he loses to a much smaller and less elite army. This is, however, one of Cao Cao's strategies. He loses so that Yuan Shao does not see him as a threat, as well as providing his army with the training necessary to be an elite force.

Cao Cao is one of the most powerful warlords in the whole story. Yuan Shao is perhaps the only stronger warlord, but he is engaged in many political problems. Sun Ce in the eastern region is a budding warlord, and he actually becomes the strongest young warlord after defeating Liu Biao, but he dies afterward.
