FluffyBunnyPwn's Song of the Day: Tori Amos - Maybe California

I heard this song the other day at work at the clinic. Surprising that they would play something like this at a clinic first of all, because usually clinic music = elevator music. The melody is super nice and just makes me wanna close my eyes and drift away. Very nice song, I recommend at least one listen.

Song of the Day: Starry Heavens

So now that FluffyBunnyPwn has approached the field of video game music for the song, today I present Starry Heavens by Day after Tomorrow, made for Tales of Symphonia . Nice voice, nice beat, gets annoying if listened to for too long. Have a try.

Song of the Day: Legend of Dragoon - If You Still Believe

Do you remember Legend of Dragoon? Well this is the song of the day for gaming! I like this song, it reminds me back in the day when the PS1 was still like every kids dream! But now its nothing compare to other consoles. Well listen to this and you might like it also.

Milestone... Yea...

Well it seems like we've reached a milestone in terms of the number of writers that we have working on this blog. Unfortunately less than half of these animals are actually doing any work *glares at the turtle, the beetle, and the cat*. The monkey is still new, so we still have yet to see how long he will last. Otherwise, the bunny, the birdy, and the dragon are all getting burnt out, carrying the weight of those "other" animals. Anyways, as new anime and video games come out, so will reviews and whatnot. Enjoy your stay!

Gao Shun

Gao Shun is Lu Bu's general, and he's a damn good one at that. He leads the Chargers, a fearless vanguard cavalry troop that usually decimates the enemy. He doesn't engage in duels like other generals, but he's a frightening person to fight.

For example, Gao Shun does has his crowning moment of awesomeness when he, crippled by a wound from Xiahou Dun, straps himself to a horse and tries to save Lu Bu at White Gate Tower. He kills a lot of the traitors, but is killed by the leader of the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry. This is yet another display of loyalty in The Ravages of Time. Suddenly Guan Yu's reputation of loyalty doesn't seem so special now, huh? Actually, I would like to say that many people are able to express loyalty in an excess amount, so Guan Yu really isn't the epitome of a loyal soldier.

Anime and Video Game Characters: Guts from Berserk

"You have the strongest armor, because you are the weakest!" -Guts From Berserk
Guts the strongest character from Berserk and the main. He carries a huge cloud buster like sword with him everywhere he goes. He has killed about and over 100 soldiers in a night, fought a demon and lived, took down generals. Guts is under the arm of Griffith. Guts has encountered the Eclipse, which is when the demons and spirits came. He survived while everyone died, it was an epic bloody moment of the story.
That is all for Guts, watch the anime or read the manga! Berserk!

Song Of The Day: Childish Gambino- Freaks and Geeks

I really like this song. It has curse words but most songs these days has them. My fave line is "I got some ***** that was insane/ So insane it's an enemy of batmayne." If you don't know about Childish Gambino, his name is Donald Glover. He is a comedian, writer, and rapper. You can download his song off his website and its free.

Status Update 5/16

So, the site has been pretty much inactive for a while. Sure a post comes up every now and then, but there is no passion behind it like before. Thankfully, there is a rumor going around that another animal will join the ranks. Of course, the new additions to the blog haven't been particularly impressive. This time, though, the Soaringhawk will predict that the next writer will be a good writer. Yes, the MonkeyKidd will join the ranks as the number 4 officer, right behind the domodragon53 (the others are of lesser rank even though MonkeyKidd has yet to make a significant post). And he will assist me in overthrowing the corrupt FluffyBunnyPwn (yes, it's getting old right?) and making this blog more fair for the people as a whole.

MonkeyKidd Has Arrived to Earth!

Yo! MonkeyKidd is here to help out the Team with posting new stuff and stuff. So that's whatsup and new!

Cheng Pu

Actually, not a lot is known about Cheng Pu. He served Sun Jian and then Sun Ce. As a general, he is pretty solid. He is not given a lot of screentime, and he doesn't get many opportunities to have duels or perform the one man army attacks. He is reliable, and strong minded.

His greatest achievement so far is killing the last of Yu Ji's troops. Yu Ji thinks that Cheng Pu is under hypnosis, but it is just an act. Cheng Pu and his troops (along with the help of Pang Tong) ambush Yu Ji and kills the remaining Taiping Rebels.

As a officer with not a lot of screentime, there's not much to say about Cheng Pu. He's a solid general, and a loyal person as well.

FluffyBunnyPwn's Song of the Day: Zone of Enders - Beyond the Bounds

For the sake of its awesomeness, here's Beyond the Bounds from the game Zone of Enders 2. I believe the lyrics are in Finnish, but it seriously sounds like some inverse-spoken Japanese to me. The song is catchy, though the lyrics are insane. Enjoy!

Anime and Video Game Characters: Harry Ord

Harry Ord is from Turn A Gundam, and he holds the title of Captain of the Royal Guard. He serves Queen Dianna Soriel faithfully, and he does the same with Kihel Heim (I'll go over this in another post). Harry Ord pilots a SUMO (Harry Ord Custom of course) and he kicks a lot of ass with it. His personality is extremely charismatic, and he is perhaps one of the most understanding of the Turn A Gundam characters.

FluffyBunnyPwn's Song of the Day: Kotoko - Trust Your Truth

This is the opening to the anime Triangle Heart. The anime sucks balls, trust me don't watch it, it's just a waste of time. However, this song is just freaking awesome. Give it a listen and you'll know why.

Brink Review

I've followed this game for two years during its development. Was it worth the wait?

Story: 7/10

Like most first person shooters, don't expect a great story. I didn't, at least for Brink. You either play as the Resistance or the Security forces, each with their own reasons to fight to flee the Ark, or to save it. The Ark is a floating man-made island built as a last resort to save humanity from the depths of destruction. It's your choice whether or not you want to flee it or save it.

Gameplay: 10/10

Here's where the bulk of the game is. I just absolutely LOVE the gameplay. Combining parkour elements with a first person shooter, is genius. There are three body types to choose from including heavy, medium, and light, combined with four classes to fight with including medic, soldier, operative, and engineer. Each has its own weaknesses and strengths, and there's technically no wrong way to play, as it's just a matter of your own preference. Gameplay is very team-based. Going lone wolf will do nothing more than get you killed. You pretty much get experience points for everything that you do, from killing enemies to carrying out objectives, to capturing command posts. As you level up, you can unlock different outfits for your character, different weapons and attachments, and special abilities to use on the battlefield. There are many objectives that you can accomplish on the battlefield and they change dynamically as well, so you're not stuck just doing one objective for the entirety of the fight. Body types matter a lot. A heavy dude can withstand a lot of damage, but a light dude can trek the battlefield, leaping left and right and flanking his enemies with ease. Also, your body type determines what kind of weapons you can hold. If you're a light, you're only limited to light weapons whereas if you're a heavy, you can carry pretty much any weapon of your choice.

Now there's been a lot of mixed reviews with Brink to say the least. And I'm just going to address it with one line "If you play it like Call of Duty, then you're going to be disappointed, and that's a fact." Don't play this game expecting to down opponents in one hit kills, or being able to camp without them seeing you, or just going Rambo. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Play it like COD, and you'll suck.

At one point it was me and three other resistance members running together in a pack with a stolen can of gasoline. Damn it was epic. You don't hear anything other than footsteps and grunts as we vault over objects, slide under stuff, and wall-hop trying to get that can of gasoline to the vehicle. This was when, I was like "Damn... this is the game I've been waiting for."

Presentation/Performance: 9/10

The graphics look similar to Borderlands because of its comic book style art, but it's not cell shaded, so it's not completely cartoony. I'm getting between 45-60+ frames per second, though I heard it isn't so friendly with AMD/ATi cards.

The Good:

- Gameplay, it's freaking fun
- Parkour elements are great
- Customization is immense
- Objective-based and team gameplay promotes teamwork

The Bad:

- More maps please!
- More customization options please!
- Already looking forward to new DLC

FluffyBunnyPwn gives it 9/10

Song of the Day: Shocking Lemon- Inner Light

From the boxing anime, Hajime no Ippo, "Inner Light" is the anime's  "epic" song. It is played everytime Ippo uses his signature move, the Dempsy Roll.

Does the song not want to make you weave your head in an eight-figure motion?
