Drama Review: Samurai High School
So FluffyBunnyPwn introduced me to this drama, and I have to say, I was a little skeptical about how good this drama was going to be. BUT, turns out that it was pretty damn good. It was exactly like Fluffy said it would be, "Your typical shounen anime turned into a legit shounen live action drama." It really felt like watching a live action anime. Too bad there isn't an anime for it though.
Kotaro Mochizuki is your typical wimpy main character. He gets caught sleeping in class and has to write a 30 page report about The Summer Campaign of the Siege of Osaka. On his way home he notices an odd building called Shinonome Library of History. He goes in and receives a book from the warring periods and notices that it's about a samurai with his exact name. Things start getting crazy from there and he gets possessed by the samurai from the book.

Manga Review: Apocalypse no Toride (Fortress of the Apocalypse)
From left to right: Yoshiaki Maeda, Mitsuru Yamanoi, Gou Iwakura, Masafumi Yoshioka
Apocalypse no Toride, or Fortress of the Apocalypse. Why the weird name? Because the story focuses on four guys in a juvenile reformatory center, a.k.a. Shouran Academy, which is one of the few safe places left in Japan. This isn't your typical everyday citizen slaying a zombie manga. This about four guys who were sent to a juvenile reformatory, each because of a different reason, slaying zombies.
The story starts out with a news cast of a murder case which resulted in an officer's death. It was reported that the officer was attacked by a man who went berserk and bit him in several areas. The suspect in the case is Yoshiaki Maeda. Unluckily for Maeda, even though he didn't do it, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. He saw the scene take place but was too horrified to do anything about it and fled. Maeda was witnessed at the scene so he was apprehended, interrogated, then sent to Shouran Academy.
Once he reaches Shouran Academy he is interrogated again by the warden. He tries to tell the truth but fails to because the warden "knows" he is lying (some japanese adults don't care much of what younger people say). He is given a futon and sent to Cell 4 where he meets his three cell mates: Yoshioka, Iwakura, and Yamanoi. Cell 4 gets into some trouble with guys from another cell and both groups are sent to outside to run. While they are running a police van crashes into a pole nearby and they go and check out what happened. A bloody person gets out of the van and the guard who was watching the group decides to take the person to the infirmary, and that's when all hell broke loose.
He who fights with monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster.
When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. -Nietzsche

Manga Review: Fairy Tail Chapter 319 - The White Knight
So this weeks chapter of Fairy Tail was quite interesting. Gajeel ate up the shadows and received a massive power-up and became an Iron Shadow Dragon and then went on to beating up the Shadow Dragon Slayer Rouge. Apparently Rouge was being controlled by an evil shadow but it ran after Rouge got beat up by Gajeel. Lector shows up to stop Gajeel from hurting Rouge any further but Gajeel already knew to stop. The fight ended up being Gajeel's victory and earning a point for team Fairy Tail.
Meanwhile, on Natsu's side they are trapped between the castle's garrison and the castle's "Executioners". Arcadios shows up in a badass white suit of armor and goes to confront the princess and her lies.
Awww look at Lector he's so cuuuute!! - BakaNeko
I was gonna say "Shit's about to get REAL!" but, shit's always real in Fairy Tail.
Anime Release Dates: Fairy Tail- Priestess of the Phoenix
Hajime no Ippo: 1
The anime has ended for a while now, but the manga is still
continuing the story, and right now, the focus is on Volg, the boxer from Russia.
He's my favorite character in all of Hajime no Ippo. He isn't the fastest, nor
is he the strongest. He isn't flashy, and he doesn't get a lot of spotlight.
However, as person, he's amazing. He's kind-hearted and doesn't get angry much.
Throughout the series, he fights in countries away from home. As such, he has
to prove himself to everyone, and the latest chapters are no different. He
fights the WBC World Champion Mike Elliot. However, he is there only as a
replacement challenger because the scheduled fighter injures himself while training.
Because of that, Volg only has one week to train and goes into the fight unprepared.
Once again, Volg gets into another fight where he is the
foreigner and has to overcome the odds. In Japan he loses to Sendo due to the officials
being biased against him because he is Russian. In America, he faces the same obstacle.
Despite giving it his all, he is still faced with disadvantages. This time, after
nailing a destructive right, the ref deliberately counts slowly and even helps
Mike to stabilize himself. Even though it seems like Volg always gets the
unfair disadvantages, he still presses on because he knows he has to go through
whatever comes his way to get to where he wants to be. In other words, Volg is
strong.

Song of the Day: Kodoku no Taiyo
So I just watched this drama called Samurai High School that FluffyBunnyPwn recommended to me and I really liked this song that was in it so I decided to share it.
Song of the Day: LeeSSang - Tears Feat. Eugene
Leessang's latest and greatest featuring Eugene from The Seeya. Very good and calm song.
Random: RWBY "White" Trailer
The second trailer from Monty Oum's RWBY series starring "White". The trailer seem to be heavily influenced by Sucker Punch, which is totally not a bad thing at all.
Random: RWBY "Red" Trailer
Awesome new series from Monty Oum of Roosterteeth. Red Riding Hood gets a hold of a scythe and wreaks havoc on some poor wolves.
Song of the Day: Yusaku Kiyama - Wait For You
Here's my song of the day for Valentines Day! It's the Japanese cover to the popular pop song "Wait For You" by Elliot Yamin, who is also featured in the music video as well.

Anime and Video Game Characters: Shimura Shinpachi
"Who the hell are they? Pedophile yakuza?" - words of wisdom from Shinpachi-kun
Shinpachi, the straightman of Gintama. When all hell breaks loose he has to calm it down. Sadly for him though, it never turns out well. Always getting dragged into the chaos when all he wants to do is avoid it. If you see him on the street, spare him a hug.
Song of the Day: Eels - I Need Some Sleep
A very smooth lullaby-type song. I first heard it in Shrek 2 and now it's become one of my favorite songs.
Song of the Day: Ai Otsuka- Kingyo Hanabi (Goldfish Fireworks)
I love Ai Otsuka, and I love this song. It brings back so many memories. The last time I listened to this song was well over a year ago.
